Garden Stamps 20% Off Until April 19th
NOTE: – There has been some confusion so I want to clarify – the discount will display on the page AFTER you enter your credit card and shipping information.
Last week was Serendipity Stamps Design Teams’ Mother’s Day Challenge. They did such a great job showing off Serendipity’s flower stamps I thought this would be a good way to kick off our Garden Sale. All of the stamps in our Garden category are 20% off – but just for a few days. You can click the designers’ names to go to their blogs for details about each card.
This first card was created by Lynda Benden using our 443G Tulip Vase.

The card below was made by Amy Cokley using 860E Dandelion Puff Small and 822D Mom Large (which is on our $1 sale right now!).

The next card, made by Kathie Bailey, shows off our 200L Lilacs image.

Below is Jennifer Woodward’s card – made with the 719L Butterfly Bush image (which looks very much like the Lilacs!).

Next we have Anya Schrier’s pretty 343QCL Pansy Corner Card. This link is for the cling set, which includes word stamps to make a very nice sympathy card. Anya’s card is a Mother’s Day card and she used 286E Wishing You All The Best.

Don’t forget! Our Customer Postcard Challenge is due April 21st! Just email me your postcard, made mostly with Serendipity Stamps at serendipity@serendipitystamps.com for a chance to win a free QCL sized cling set.

I came across this card made by Sue Eldred and it’s one that just makes me smile. You could make this card in 5 minutes and send it to just about anyone for just about any reason (Sympathy? Hmmm…maybe not). So I thought I’d make this little cling set the Quickie Sale this week. Right now you can get the 925MCL Parrot Cling Set for just $3.50. Hello! Is that a bargain or what? The other stamp used on the card, 851D Who Loves Ya Baby? is on the dollar sale. So…you could buy all three stamps for just $4.50. That should make you smile!

I came across a cache of stamps the other day – guppies – the kind that reproduce quickly! So just to get them out of the way I’ve added a 25 Cent Sale category to www.serendipitystamps.com. All of these stamps are unmounted, but many have “sticky” cushion on the back (that’s the cushion used to mount a stamp to a wood block – and it can usually be easily removed). Limit 2 of any stamp.
DON’T HESITATE – I EXPECT THESE TO SELL OUT FAST!!!!
Now – on to postcards! Remember, the deadline for our customer postcard challenge is April 21st. The postcard must be flat – something the PO would deliver with a .28 cent postcard stamp. Below is Anya Schrier’s post card. She used 762QCL English Rose Cling Set, 330F Post Card and 1195F May The Peace of the Lord to create the beautiful vintage-look card. And, since it has to be flat, with no do-dads attached (do you suppose do-dad has an official definition for USPS guidelines?), she stitched for her embellishment – perfect! And notice how she set up her photo – with canning jars and a vintage plate – little things that make her photo really nice.

Yes – finally – we’ve got another customer challange going! Our DT completed their Postcard Challenge last week and so I have lots of wonderful inspiration for you. If you missed my last post, here’s the basics for the challenge.
DEADLINE: April 21st
RULES: Your postcard can be any size, but it must be FLAT. No layers or do dads.
RANDOM DRAWING: All submissions will be entered in a random drawing to win a free cling set of your choice.
And for your enjoyment, two more postcards from the Serendipity Stamps Design Team. The first are from Kathie Bailey, who made two beautiful “correspondence” themed postcards using our Ink Bottle Cling Set – 212QCL. And look at Kathie’s photo stand!

Next is a pretty spring postcard from Lynda Benden. She used the large Violets – 431L image on her postcard as well as a mask and some corner rub ons to give her’s that vintage look.

Just a quick note to let you know that I added 25 stamps to the dollar sale - we now have over 150 stamps on the dollar sale! The new ones are displayed at the end – sorry – you’ll have to page through them all to see. Again – soon – very soon I’ll be updating my website so I can organize things better!

Who cares - I love them! I looked it up and you can spell it either way – check out postcards on Wikipedia – there’s all sorts of interesting information! I actually sat down and wrote two postcards this morning (did you know it costs only .28 to mail a postcard?). One was to my friend Joanne, who I write to a couple times a week. The other was to my friend Linda. She and I spent last weekend scouring antique malls in Dallas and happened to find a little box of the cutest postcards! This was a happy coincidence since last week was Serendipity Stamps’ Design Teams’ Postcard challenge.
And now I’m so excited about postcards that I decided it was about time to have another customer challenge – of course, a postcard challenge!
DEADLINE: April 21st
RULES: Your postcard can be any size, but it must be FLAT. No layers or do dads.
RANDOM DRAWING: All submissions will be entered in a random drawing to win a free cling set of your choice.
Want some inspiration? Here are a couple of the postcards created by our DT for their challenge. Watch over the next couple of days for more postcards. We’ll start with Jennifer Woodward’s Crocus Postcard since there’s a little crocus just like this poking up in my garden right now. Jennifer used the Crocus Cling Set – 995QCL to create her postcard. And guess what? It’s on sale right now for 50% off!

Below is Amy Cokley’s postcard – well, the back of it. I wanted you to see our Postcard - 330F in action. The perfect thing to give your postcard that vintage feel.

Last year I decided to fill my daughters’ Easter baskets with practical gifts rather than candy. So they got socks and underwear – it doesn’t get much more practical than that right? Well it didn’t go over so well so this year may find me in the chocolate bunny aisle again. Plus – if I don’t give them candy, who am I supposed to sneak candy from for my own sweet tooth?
Some Easter Baskets for you. These first cards, with the basket with the plain eggs is Jeanie’s Easter Basket – 701H - named after the artist who drew it. This same basket is in the Cling set 567QCL with a beautiful word stamp.

The cards below were made using Judy’s Easter Basket – 702K - again named after the artist. The cling set for this basket is 702QCL.

Believe it or not, one of the more challenging things I have to do is come up with names for the new images our artists create. It seems like it would be easy, maybe even fun right? But the name has to mean something to you the stamper – say you want to google to find a stamp with a chick and a wagon. And it has to mean something to those of us here in the shop who have to pull the stamp off the shelf, or maybe press the stamp, or cut it out, and so on. So when I really want to call a cute little chick “Norbert” I can’t – I have to call him “Chick with Egg Wagon”. Here are LOTS of examples of the Chick with Egg Wagon – 1092F or 1092QCL.

In just about 3 weeks that silly Easter Bunny will be sneaking into our refrigerator and stealing all of our beautifully dyed Easter Eggs and hiding them all over the yard. So don’t wait too long to get your Easter Stamps! Our Bunny Artist image – 985F, which is available in a cling set, 985QCL too – has inspired our designers to create lots of cards! Here are some to inspire you.
This first card was made by Sue Eldred using the stamps in the cling set, 985QCL. Below that is a horizontal version.

The card below was created by Carolyn Hurst. In addition to the Bunny Artist, she used Happy Easter II – 706D.

And below you’ll find two more cards created by Carolyn Hurst who used the Three Ducks – 981F image too.
