New Stamps!

Our new line of Fall and Winter Stamps is up on the Serendipity Stamps website! And the plates arrived today so those of you who pre-ordered – your orders will ship in a day or two.

Visiting Graveyards

When I was a girl I my mother and I used to visit an old cemetery in St. Louis. We weren’t visiting the graves – we didn’t know anyone there. We were hunting pinecones and acorns. My mom made the most beautiful wired pinecone wreaths with the natural treasures we’d find in the cemetery. As a result of these foraging trips, I’m not in the least superstitious about “graveyards” – indeed they can be beautiful, peaceful places to spend some time. But put a Graveyard in the hands of the Serendipity Stamps Design Team and there’s nothing peaceful about it! It’s a whole new world of creativity!

The first card below was designed by Jenny Gropp – Serendipity’s Guest Designer. The one below that is from Sue Eldred. Both ladies used 1229H – Graveyard and 1228D Have a Wicked Good Day.

Not-So-Scary Spider

We’ve been so busy at Serendipity Stamps that today I had to go digging in dark corners to find boxes to ship orders. Ugh – that means spiders! I’m not a jump up and scream type when it comes to spiders – in fact I tend to carry the box over to the door and dump the little guys outside – but that doesn’t mean I LIKE them. However, I dare you not to like our new little Spider image – 1226E - especially after you see what some members of the SS design team created with him!

We’ll start with the awesome decorated pumpkin by Amy Cokley.

Next a card from Sue Eldred. In addition to the Spider, Sue used 851D – Who Loves Ya - which is on our Dollar Sale right now!

And last, but of course not least, is Lynda Benden’s card. Lynda too used a stamp from our Dollar Sale – Boo Lg – 660C.

Halloween DT Challenge

Below are the submissions from the Serendipity Stamps Design Team for the September Halloween Challenge. They came up with some really great ideas! Some designers sent me more than one design and I didn’t keep good notes on what was for the challenge and what was just for fun so I put them all in – the more the merrier! Be sure to check out the gallery at the bottom of this post – there are multiple picture of some items there.

Oldies Are Goodies

These two cards were made using images Serendipity Stamps released in earlier years. When you’re shopping for Halloween images on the serendipitystamps.com website, be sure to look at our Halloween stamp section in addition to the New Stamps section. The first card is from Kathie Bailey, using our Witch – 795H image. Notice how she mimicked the belt on the witches hat with her ribbon on the card? The second card is from Lynda Benden and uses image 669H – Ghosties. Both Kathie and Lynda have beautiful blogs where you can find more details for these cards – check out the links over to the right.

Everybody Loves Pumpkins!

These Tall Pumpkins – 1174H are the favorite of the design team! Check out Jennifer, Anya and Sue’s versions below. And below that is a non-pumpkin card. Jennifer Woodward created this card specifically with the idea of designing a card with just a word stamp. I think she did a great job – love all that glitter! She used the 1175D- Happy Boo Day image.

Witchy, Witchy

Here are two witches for you – two very different cards made using 1176E – Witch Sihouette. Holly Craft’s little pop-up card is amazing! Check out her blog for instructions. And Amy Cokley’s card shows a great use for hinged tabs (those probably have a much better name, but I’ll be darned if I know what it is!).
